Introduction

Favorite Gifts is a fast-growing international company operating in a highly competitive market. Decisions regarding product assortment and pricing can have a major impact on our competitiveness, which we see directly in our sales. That is why having the right data and the right analyses is essential for us. You play a key role in this by ensuring the smooth delivery of this data and helping colleagues with innovative analyses.

First, you’ll be responsible for the Python scripts that automatically process supplier data. You’ll maintain these scripts, expand them, and ensure further automation where possible. For this, it’s helpful if you have experience with ETL tools like Data Factory, but this isn’t a requirement.

Second, you will analyze data from our company and our competitors, and provide insights that enable sales, procurement, and marketing to refine their strategies. This includes price analyses, evaluating campaigns, optimizing the product range, and predicting the effectiveness of new promotions or campaigns. It can sometimes be difficult to access the right data, so you’ll need to come up with smart solutions to ensure the best possible analysis.

You’ll also proactively help other departments adopt a data-driven approach. All our departments work with data, and there’s often room to do so more efficiently. You’ll identify opportunities and help automate data-related tasks. This will help us make Favorite Gifts an increasingly efficient organization.

Here’s what you’ll be doing

Maintain and expand automated solutions for processing supplier data.

Analyzing data and translating it into insights, reports, and forecasts.

Advising internal stakeholders such as sales and marketing based on data.

Automate processes using Python for internal stakeholders.

Managing and improving data sources and data systems.

Identifying opportunities for improvement and translating them into concrete solutions.

What do you bring to the table

At least 3 years of work experience in a data-related role.

HBO+ level of work and thinking.

Experience with Python, SQL, and Azure.

Experience with data pipelines and automation is a plus.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

A proactive and solution-oriented work attitude.

Proficiency in English.

Affinity with both technical and business issues.
