For Favorite Gifts this means treating our people, our customers, our suppliers ánd the environment well. We do honest business, set high standards for our products and we are a good employer for our staff, in every country in which we operate.

We do this by:

- Delivering safe promotional products
- Consistently investing in our customers and employees by increasing our mutual knowledge of promotional gifts
- Communicating transparently about the sustainable impact of our products
- Connecting with our partners to develop professional solutions that generate trust and success
We are aware of our position and responsibility in our value chain, towards our own employees, our customers and our suppliers. As a family company we feel that human rights, both in our own company as well as in our whole supply chain, are important topics of our ESG strategy. We do honest business. However, it is not only about treating people right, we should also be aware of the impact we have on our environment by conducting our business. We set clear plans on how to make the impact on the environment, or better said our footprint, as low as possible. We focus on empowering the branding of our customers, whilst embracing the sustainability challenges that the future holds.
Core values / our ESG promises
Within Favorite Gifts our core calues are Speed + Simplicity + Fun = Success. We place all our projects along the line of these core values and have defined internal promises based on these values. We have also formulated separate ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) pledges on these core values for our sustainability policy. You can read them below:
Speed
We can react quickly on developments and will do the same in the area of sustainability.
Simplicity
We keep it simple. We deliver safe promotional products and will also select items that contribute to a transparent, climate-neutral and circular economy.
Fun
We ensure good working conditions and circumstances to all our employees in the supply chain, incl. safe working environments and living wages. We encourage an ethical and a transparent way of working and communicate so in code of conducts.
Success
We will offer a sustainability classification of our products, so our customers can make the responsible choice. This will include the base materials of our products, the production of the items and the modes of transport. On corporate level we will map and reduce the CO2 emissions of our organization.
Key Themes for Our Focus
We will explicitly communicate the status of our efforts and include sustainability policy as a topic in our agendas. To make this policy practical, we have set targets for the future. These are divided into short-term goals and long-term projects. Sustainability is a continuous process in our organization. These are our 6 main projects:
Favorite Gifts’ activities result in CO2 emissions, mostly during product manufacturing and transportation. The impact of emissions contribute to climate change. therefore we aim to mitigate this risk of impact. It is necessary to gain insight into the total quantity of CO2 emissions (2024) and subsequently set goals to reduce these (2024/2025), all in line with the principles of the GHG protocol. We will lead the way and encourage other stakeholders in the chain to contribute to preventing climate change as well (2025).
We want to communicate transparent and factual on the use of materials in our products and as a result be able to provide insight into CO2 footprint of our products and use of material on product level. With this information, customers can make their own sustainable choices on the selection of products.
As a family company, our employees are extremely important for us. Therefore we aim to provide a pleasant work environment for them and value their wellbeing. We focus on what matters most; excellent employment benefits, a solid pension plan, safe and favorable working conditions and a positive relationship with our staff. We value the health and vitality of our staff and provide a safe place to work.
Given the scope of Favorite Gifts’ value chain, it is crucial to protect human rights where we possibly can. We will not be able to have an impact in the complete chain, but will try to be of influence by purchasing against fair prices and by treating our own people well. We realize harming human rights can lead to reputational damages, which we want to prevent from happening. We are an amfori BSCI member, which means we are working on mapping and improving human rights in our supply chain.
Favorite Gifts’ products are made of raw materials, the same for the packaging of these products used for shipment or packaging purposes. This theme connects to the theme of climate change and adaptation, since we can make a positive impact by purchasing more sustainable materials that generally lead to a lower CO2 emission. It is eminent our customers will be informed on the exact material content of our products. Our waste policy is included in this theme as a topic. We comply with all regulations, but will also set targets for reduction.
This topic is considered self-evident at our stakeholders. Favorite Gifts has taken measures to mitigate and prevent the risk of corruption. With the formalization of this framework, we make the risk of corruption and reputational damage as low as possible.
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s)
Favorite Gifts has joined the United Nations Global Compact Netherlands. United Nations Global Compact is a worldwide sustainability initiative which has, amongst many other initiatives and principles, set up 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The SDGs reflect an understanding that sustainable development everywhere must integrate economic growth, social well-being and environmental protection. With Favorite Gifts’ sustainability policy we connect to the goals of decent work and economic growth (8), responsible consumption and production (12), climate action (13), life below water (14) and peace, justice and strong institutions (16).
Decent work and economic growth
We are aware of our position in the supply chain and the responsibility that comes with that towards our own employees, our customers and our suppliers. We will support our vendors in developing sustainable working conditions. Our amfori BSCI membership and the audit options help us mapping the needs for that and develop possible solutions.
Responsible consumption and production
We can make a difference by selecting products that contribute to a transparent, climate neutral and circular economy instead of products that end up as waste.
Climate action
Climate action is all about the measuring and decreasing the impact of our CO2 footprint on the planet. We can do so by choosing greener options in transport, gas, electricity and by selecting less impactful materials in our products and packaging of products.
Life below water
Favorite Gifts signed the ‘Dopper Wave’. By signing this pledge we acknowledge the importance of using re-usable bottles instead of single plastic bottles. All single-use bottles and cups are removed from our offices with clean tab water and in our product range we do not offer bottled water anymore.
Peace, justice and strong institutions
We want to do business the ethical and honest way in any transaction that we do. We stand against corruption and bribery and reject any form of discrimination.
Environment
We are aware that our business has an impact on the environment and we are committed to reduce this impact by getting insight in emissions (2024) and formulating clear targets for reduction of our CO2 footprint in 2025. We follow the principles of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol en commit to the targets of the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement.
Material, energy and emissions
Environment for us is formed by 2 dimensions. The first is the way we handle energy within our own offices and locations, the second is the environmental aspects that are connected to the products we purchase and sell.
Social
From our stakeholder analysis we concluded that in our future policy the social focus points should be on (1) the health, safety and vitality of our employees, (2) on the complete and transparent communication on our products and services and on (3) the responsibility we have towards human rights in our supply chain. We are aware of the social responsibility we have in conducting our business and we always comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Health, safety and vitality - our own workforce
As a family company, our employees are extremely important for us. Therefore we aim to provide a pleasant work environment for them and value their wellbeing. We focus on what matters most; excellent employment benefits, a solid pension plan, safe and favorable working conditions and a positive relationship with our staff. We value the health and vitality of our staff and provide a safe place to work. We execute an employee engagement research every 3 years.
Speak up via the new whistleblower system
At our company it is our priority that all our employees can go to work healthy and motivated, regardless of their age, life stage, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, physical condition or any other similar factors. Favorite Gifts condemns
any form of discrimination and provides equal chances to all. We also stand firm against any form of bribery or corruption. We hope everybody feels free to speak up if you feel discriminated or experience unsafety in any way.
